Hello.

Welcome to The Beauty Section. Here you will find product recommendations, tips, tricks, and just girly things that I love. I'm no expert by any means, but I am a great researcher. My passion for beauty and skincare began one day when I was searching certain makeup products when I came across YouTube videos of girls talking to a camera about the makeup they use and how to create different looks... I was intrigued. After watching many many videos and  trying some of these products I started to build a lot of knowledge about makeup and skincare on my own, and soon it became one of my passions.

I decided to start a blog after many people encouraged me to do so, I honestly didn't think anyone would want to read what I have to say. But here I am. The Beauty Section came about because literally every time I am in a store I always say "I'll be back, I'm going to the beauty section", it's pretty pathetic, even if I don't buy anything I still love to see what's new. I'm a makeup junkie, what can I say?

 So let's get this thing started. 

During our Snowpocalypse I decided to get crafty and make myself a new makeup brush holder.

Supplies Needed:

Mod Podge and Glitter of choice, both of these came from Michael's

An empty candle jar, any shape or size. Mine was a 3 wick candle from Bath and Body Works.

Lastly a bag of Navy Beans from your local grocery store.

Instructions:

1. If there is wax still left in the bottom of your candle jar, pop it in the freezer for a couple of hours to freeze the wax. After it has set for a couple hours take a knife and poke a hole in the middle of the wax and the rest should shatter. Keep going until there is no wax left.

2. Remove any labels on the jar as well as clean the glass with Windex.

3. Once the glass is completely dry paint a thin layer of Mod Podge all the way around the outside of the glass jar avoiding the inside and bottom.

4. Sprinkle on the glitter until fully coated, if you notice empty space fill it in with Mod Podge and sprinkle glitter on the area again.

5. Fill the jar to a comfortable level with the Navy Beans and stick your brushes into the beans.

I enjoyed doing this DIY and it turned out exactly how I wanted it to. Nothing wrong with a little sparkle. Most brushes pictured are Sigma Brushes and I literally LOVE them!

You can use these jars for many different things, like pens and highlighters for office organization, or cotton pads and q-tips for bathroom organization etc.
